The Personal Fraternity of the SFO in Staryi Ostropil

Next youth convocation was held in Staryi Ostropil on May, 7-9 2010. The secular Franciscans met about 60 young people from different parts of Ukraine, viz from Kyiv, Lviv, Shepetivka, Gorodkivka, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk. Br.Yuri, a Franciscan from Vinnytsi,  was responsible for holding the convocation.

Young people could spend time with each other in small fraternities, pray and listen to the Word of God. They told about how the Lord had touched each of them. Topical problems of love, relations with parents and between boy and girl were brought up during the convocation.

Many young hearts opened and were very much taken with the idea of Franciscan life. Some of them wanted to became Jesus disciples and to take part in the convocation of the Franciscan School of Evangelization for the first course.
