The Personal Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order in Staryi Ostropil
Heavenly Father!
You allowed Your servant st.Francis of Assisi to follow footsteps of Christ, You’re the Only Begotten Son and to bring the Gospel message to free will people.
Fill us, Your children, with the Holy Spirit! We desire the Holy Spirit in order to build the world more righteous and fraternal every day of our life.
Strengthen us in our professions on the Gospel life and make us joyful messengers of good and peace!
Grant this through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Being encouraged with General Constitution of the SFO to be witnesses and instruments of Church’s mission among the people through their baptism and profession, the fraternity of Secular Franciscans in Staryi Ostropil strives to proclaim Jesus Christ by their life and words.
Joined by this heart desire, the fraternity members want to do it through personal witnessing in the suroundings in which they live and service for the sake of building up the Kingdom of God within the situations of present-day Ukraine determined by God's Providence (cfr.
SFO Rule 14; GC 20,1; 17,1).
Together with the Roman-Catholic Church in Ukraine the members of the SFO in Stary Ostropil aim "to spread the Gospel message and the Franciscan lifestyle” (cfr. CG 102,2), especially to collaborate in spreading "the new evangelization”, promoted by the Holy Spirit ( GC 99,1).
In 2009 the Personal Fraternity of the SFO in Staryi Ostropil (Khmelnytskyi Region) was canonically established on the ground of the local fraternity (cfr. GC 46, 28.3), which had been declared as a canonical one with the Decree of the Vice Provincial Minister of Capuchins in Ukraine fr.Blazej Suska in 2008 (cfr. GC 88.2a).
The main features of the Personal Fraternity (PF) of the SFO are:
- The community of Secular Franciscans from different regions of Ukraine, who want to apostolate and evangelize according to their spirituality;

Apostleship and evangelization, carried out in PF structures, which have status of the groups inside of the fraternity, Ø it (apostleship) is realized under the Council supervision according to the regulations of the meetings and activities approved by the above mentioned Council ( GC 34: 31).
PF SFO Groups:
The Personal Fraternity of the SFO meets together in Staryi Ostropil (Khmelnyckyi Region) in "Mary, the Obedient Maid's House” at the following address: Veteraniv St., 1/3.
PF belongs to Khmelnyckyi Region and in its life and activity is guided by the legislation of the Church and the SFO as well as their own Statute (GC 31,1). The PF of the SFO life and activity also include the functions and obligations, accredited to it by the Roman-Catholic Church. PF accepted them from FSE after the regular restructing of the SFO in Ukraine in 2009.
